An Idea, A Community, A Project
Chuck Westbrook had an idea. His idea was to gather some bloggers to seek out and support well written but under-read blogs.
Chuck posted his idea on October 23rd. By midnight he had 95 responses in his comments section. As of this post, the total responses stand at 317 with 46 trackbacks. People are interested!
I have joined the project as well. I read a couple blogs that are full of insightful and useful information, but they don’t seem to generate much in the way of comments or participation. If I am able, I will pass them to Chuck to be included.
What’s in it for me? First, I will, over the course of the project, find new blogs to love and read. Second, I will be participating in a community activity that has meaning for me. And finally, I will be able to encourage other bloggers and thereby encourage myself.
This project isn’t about comparison or competition. It is about community, generosity, and encouragement. I received my first email from Chuck Westbrook last night, and got happy all over again about what he is attempting to do.
Follow along or join in. Once we are under way, I’ll be posting a link to whichever blog we’re visiting on the Saturday Morning post each week. Chuck’s name in this post will take you to his blog. References to the project or idea will take you to the specific proposal.

I think I was too late to put my name in! Oh well, this is a great idea, and I’ve subscribed to him. Thanks!
I’m gonna check his site out; it sounds like a wonderful idea! Thanks for the info!!
Hey, Matt. Head on over anyway. You can still get the info on which blogs we’re viewing and join in!
Hello, Dara! I think it’s a great idea. I’m anxious to get started with it.
