Tips/Techniques/Methods:

From Collective Inkwell: 10 Ways to Find Your Writing Style.

Lynn V has a solid take on the tools we use affecting our process and method.  I started on typewriters as well, and still write longhand.  I find it easier to get the first draft out and Lynn explains why.

Courtney Summers talks about editing her work.  Here’s another writer’s take on editing a work he had written a year previous.

My friend Cassie posted on writing real life experiences, with excellent reader comments.

Zoe talks about creativity on the go.  She is also giving an ebooklet on how to create your own mini-retreat.

Lotus Rising brings up the other side of authenticity…if you are writing about a location or a country of which you don’t have first hand knowledge, getting the details right is vital.

Deb talks about putting together the pieces of our fiction and I love the illustrations she included.

The four dot ellipses…myth or fact?  Does it really exist?  How should it be used? Find out from Daily Writing Tips.

The Writing Life:

Lady Glamis spoke honestly about her feelings on her current WIP and got such wonderful feedback.  The original post, The Divorce, is followed by The Obvious.

I really liked Lynn’s piece, Portrait of a Character.  It evokes similar feelings I’ve had for a few of my characters and also the resonance I’ve had with images or portraits that brought things into focus.

Does happiness enhance or limit your creativity?

Industry:

Here are two articles on ebook piracy:  2 Authors, 2 Very Different Viewpoints, A Book Author Wonders How to Fight Piracy.

Jack Kilborn and Blake Crouch collaborated in a new novel, opening up questions for new working relationships.

Tidbits:

I had no idea there was a Writer’s Worth Day.  Interesting.

Terri asks questions she was shy to ask but got real answers.

Renegade Writer gives 5 Tips for Creating an Inspiring Workspace.

Write for Your Life has launched a sister site called Websites for Writers.  At first my heart sank. I am one of few in my original blogging circle that doesn’t have an Alltop icon, and now here’s another site to try to crack.  But then I reminded myself that it IS all about getting the information out there, so I plug Websites for Writers with a contented  heart.  Excellent project.

I don’t know what’s wrong with Write for Your Life. The actual site is http://writeforyourlife.net. I’m getting database errors on it.
